In professional sports, the first ever National Football League All-star Game was held in January of 1939. The two teams consisted of a roster of all-stars versus the New York Giants, the league’s champion for the 1938 season. The game was played January 15, 1939, at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles, Calif. The Giants won 13–10.
